✍🏻 How I got into UX writing

I have always had a knack for writing (school book reports, songwriting, college essays all come easily), but never knew how to transform it into something I would love as a career. During my time in the marketing world, I realized quickly that my favorite parts of my current and past jobs were the writing portions vs the marketing.

I started heavily researching careers that fit my more empathetic nature in the spring of 2020 - that’s when I stumbled upon UX writing. Finally, there was this exciting career filled with user-centric focus, problem-solving solutions, and crafting words and communicative tools to help people.

From there I bought all of the books, read all of the online articles, and signed up for The UX Writing Academy by the UX Writing Hub. After months of exploring and experiencing UX writing, and completing a few projects, I'm more excited than ever to experience new UX challenges - and now as a certified UX writer!
